It's not cheap but it is fair. You get what you pay for.
This restaurant is the one I like best. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The team is very receptive and the cuisine they offer is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a nice meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.
Great experience. Could have parked at the street but choose the church lot instead. Ordered the brisket sandwich and split the loaded tots. Both were amazing, but the first bite of brisket told me I would be coming back.
I absolutely love their food their barbecue was delicious nice and juicy and tender french fries were also good definitely looking forward to going back awesome customer service
I can't say enough. The brisket just FN melts in your mouth. Wow. Get there early because when they run out of what they made that day the door closes...
Went in for lunch and ordered a pulled pork and brisket. Pulled pork was good, brisket was dry. Brisket should never be dry.Based on the Brisket alone, I would not bother coming back.
True bbq is hard to find in MN - this place has got it!! They load the brisket sandwich with meat, it is perfection. And You have to try the fries as well, they are the best I’ve ever had!
This BBQ is a hidden gem. Maybe the best we've had and we eat a lot of Q. Courteous staff and amazing food. Our family decided this is our new birthday dinner take out spot.
11/10/2019 update:This is my last visit to this place. 32 dollars for 1.5 lb of brisket. We went today during lunch time and turned out they have limited menu and sells brisket on a 6oz incremental vs. per lb. Original review: This place have solid brisket. So far it’s the best on our list to fix Texas bbq craves. Everything else is reasonably priced. They don’t have a parking lot but street spots are not hard to find. They don’t sell beer either so make sure come prepared. There are several types of sauces and we’re all really tasty! Highly recommend this place for some quality brisket.
I would definitely go back again
I ate here in early June, the brisket was excellent, not quite at the level of little miss bbq, but on the way, it is all wood cooked. Highly recommend the brisket. The sides are all very good as is the bread. The ribs were very expertly cooked, however the flavor profile was not there yet for the ribs, hopefully the pit master works on the ribs a little. I am also not a fan of the st Louis cut either, if I’m eating spare ribs, I prefer the Carolina cut and my favorite rib is baby back. Overall worth the trip. The prices are high, but it is all wood cooked so I would say it’s worth it.
Great to have more great barbecue in the neighborhood.
Had 2 people recommend this place to me within a span of 12 hours. Took it as a sign and grabbed dinner there ASAP. The ribs and brisket sandwich were incredible. Same with all the sides. Highly recommend everyone check this place out.
I love this place best bbq in mn. love it
I love this place a lot. there is a different spirit. The kitcen is exeptionaly good. the service is effective and the waiters are courteous. The cost is decent. truly recommend.
Decent BBQ. The ribs are a St. Louis style dry rub. Amazingly juicy for a dry rub with great smoking. However the spicing is a bit on the weak side for my liking. The brisket was not as tender as I would have liked but they do not cut off the burnt ends and instead have that be one of the edges, which I loved. I also enjoy burnt ends so there is that. Their BBQ sauce is unique. A mix of sweet and vinegary smashed into a chilli taco... The pickles, yum. More of a pickled cucumber salad but oh so good.I purchased two 8 oz briskets and a half rack of ribs for $41. No sides were included but could be purchased for $6.This place is purely take out and has no parking lot so plan accordingly.I would eat here again.
I go to this marvelous restaurant every couple of days because I enjoy the special air that is characterizes this place. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably helpful and skilfull. The service is remarkablywonderfully fast. Also, the food they serve is magnificent. I have been there many times and I was always joyful. The expense is honest. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.
This place was pretty good. The chicken was excellent and the brisket was delicious. However, the ribs were kind of dry and the beans needed more flavor. Just a bay leaf in the pot would definitely help. The pickles are addicting. I love that the food is fresh. It is just a bit overpriced for the selection.
Absolutely delicious! Mains: The ribs were excellent with a nice dry outer that was very flavorful but so juicy inside. The brisket was also excellent. The BBQ sauce and vinegar sauce were lovely.Sides: cheesy noods, pretty good, nothing to get crazy about. The dirty rice and beans however were excellent and I loved the pickles!Eat this food.
Absolutely a place worth trying, the food is awesome and well prepared, the prices are affordable and it is constantly well organized in here. Highly recommended.
Best brisket and French fries!!! Definitely the best BBQ in our state.
Fantastic - will be back!
I had the Best Ribs I ever ate tonight at MNBBQ and the Cucumber Dish is amazing too.
This place has the best smoked meat in the city. I usually hate cauliflower but their cauliflower is awesome. I'm not a big fan of their sauce but you don't need it not with this meat. Besides let's face it everybody has a favorite sauce buy some of that and put it on this meet you will not be disappointed.
Overall impression: tasty but with room for improvement, and a little priceyHighlights:- creamed sweet potatoes were AWESOME! I would come back just for those.- ribs were tasty with a nice char- rice and beans were deliciousCould be better:- brisket was kind of dry, and I was disappointed that only 3 slices came in my $10 order. They’ve only been open a couple days so I’m sure they’re still working some things out. I will definitely come back though!
Phenominal bbq. One of the best bbq in Minneapolis
Definitely one of, if not the best barbeque joints in the twin cities. Great brisket is hard to find with social distancing pushing all restaurants to take out only. Now our go to for good barbeque!
Awesome ribs, full rack easily feeds 3. Bbq cheddar fries are a meal by itself
I was nearby for work and this place smelled so amazing we had to give it a try. I love brisket but good brisket is hard to find. With that being said their brisket sandwich was outstanding and one of the best sandwiches I have had in a while. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Best chicken in NE. Brisket was great too. The sauces were a hit with one of us. The best side is the sweet potatoe puree. The pickles in the small containers by the sauces are excellent. Kinda spendy when you get the sides... next time we'll get just the meats. Note that this is not a place to go sit down to eat... this is a take out joint!
Really really good BBQ take out. There is no place to sit so drive home fast. Man now I feel like some Q
When I originally went to this place I loved it. The guy that served me was the cook and the cashier. I later found out that he was the sou chef. He was very personable and kind. When I got my order it was small for the price but I felt like for the quality it was worth it. Fast forward a month later and I got back and it’s a different cook, less personable and also gave way less food for the price. Spent $21 for two 8 ounce brisket and didn’t even get that. I felt like each container was less than 6 ounces. Also the second time around I swear the brisket was more fatty. That being said I will not be visiting again. This place is not worth the price and the inconsistency of portions.
I want to give this 4 1/2 stars. I like the style of BBQ they are serving and ate their brisket and ribs, along with a few sides. The sides were very good, as were the ribs. The brisket was certainly some of the best I've had in MN but still didn't seem like the fat had rendered properly and could have either used a bit more time to cook, or perhaps there is too much direct heat cooking the brisket. Either way, these guys are doing well and I will be back!
I wish I could rate 4.75 because the ONLY knock on this place is the prices. With that said the meats are phenomenal and food tastes great! I just wish for $10-13 you'd get a sandwich and a side, but it's all separate so you pay anywhere from $15-$20 for lunch menu.Take the money out though, GREAT food. Worth a try for sure!
Found this place on Google Maps, new it had to be a local BBQ place. I wasn't disappointed, everything was wonderful, brisket, ribs, beans, sauces & fries. I'll definitely be recommending this place to friends and I'll go back the next time I'm in Minneapolis
Great potential here... I had the brisket sandwich and cucumber salad (I missed the other half of the menu that was 30 feet away). Brisket was good, added the bbq which is pretty good, very smoky. Would love to see more flavors of bbq sauce in the future. Cucumber salad needed a ton more vinegar. I added some at home and it was pretty good. Can't wait to try more things there.
Ribs were great! and the BBQ sauce... I'm a big fan of, unique and full of flavor. We got a couple of the sides, slaw was okay but cheesy noodles were great. pickles were great too. Also had some of the chicken and brisket, both winners! I'll be back for sure. Well done!
The place is small, but the flavor comes in HUGE. Brisket is the best I've ever had.
Food was great, people were equally awesome. Reccomend
MN BBQ continues to improve and has set the bar high in the market. They were built for take away and have an efficient and safe methodology for these times. Very good brisket, very good pork ribs. A single sauce, good sides, simple menu and take away only. You can smell the smoker from 1 block away. Pickles. All signs of what a great bbq place should be.Highly recommended.
Extremely friendly and great service! Food was good for a small shop but boy does the meat comes with a big punch of flavors! They serve lunch and dinner. Follow them on FB page to keep track whats cooking and also give them the 👍
This was one of the best finds. They are off the chain good. We had the ribs, pork belly and brisket. All of it was amazeballs. The people there were awesome. They know how to make some of the best bbq. Go, you will not be disappointed.
The guys were very friendly, we talked about the establishment for a little bit. I was able to look inside the large smoker which was massive and amazing then I had a brisket sandwich and a cream soda. Everything was fantastic but to be honest I don't care for the pickles.😁 there's a bar and bar stools to sit inside for half a dozen people and two picnic tables outside for seasonal seating. Definitely a carry-out joint.
Had the st Louis ribs, brussel sprouts and baked beans. Super good! Will def return.
I was extremely excited to try Minnesota Barbecue Co. But they refused to answer their phones saying to use their online ordering system. Go online and try to place and order and they temporarily stopped taking online orders. So then we stand outside when it's drizzling out and patiently wait to support a new local restaurant to have them all of a sudden start taking phone orders again and we were asked to step aside to have a gentleman behind us in line who was tired of waiting in the rain and literally on his phone placing an order to come forward to pay. Seriously horrible management of a company and absolutely poor customer service. There are many other amazing small businesses in North East that I would suggest to go and support during this time who continue to put their community first before profits.
Great prices for great barbecue and service
Im. Not big on dry ribs. But these was the best dry ribs I have had in a long time. I liked the sauces are excellent. And the potato salad was delicious. The service was fast and very friendly. We will be going again. Welcome to the neighborhood.
This is a must have place to go to get your BBQ fixing. It's on the pricy end but definitely worth it for $20 I got a single St. Louis rib, 6 oz brisket and a side of baked beans. Plus if you have an Amex card they're reimbursing you $5 for spending 10+ for shop small
Love, love, LOVE MN BBQ! We used to live in the Southeast and this is the most comparable BBQ we've found here, in the upper Midwest. Only thing missing is mac & cheese. :)
Worth every penny, even more so the wait. Brisket and pulled pork are simply the best I've ever had in good ol'Minnesota. All those man-bun guys are great and give awesome customer service. Would high recommend to everyone
